On the 17th, it was learnt from Hong Kong's largest cosmetics retailer, Sa Sa International Holdings Limited ("Sasa", 0178.HK) that the company will open its first mainland store in Shanghai on the 26th of this month and cater to the needs of mainland customers. The launch of a lower-priced, youth-oriented and trend-oriented market for exclusive brands will include skin care products and fragrances.

“Sasa has obtained a retail license in the Mainland in February this year.” Liang Meisi, director of corporate communications at Salsa International Holdings Ltd., told reporters that the mainland is a new market for Sa Sa. Sa Sa is prepared to concentrate on developing in Shanghai during the first year of entry into the Mainland. ~2 stores, 5~7 stores in the second year, and more than 20 in the Mainland in three years. In addition to Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and other places are also areas where Sa Sa plans to develop.

The company will start with a prudent business strategy. The management of the company expects that after opening 3 to 5 stores in the Mainland within half a year, the business will reach balance.

Earlier, Salsa had a cooperation and signing ceremony with the Shanghai Women's Supplies Store under the Shanghai Bailian Group Department Store. After the cooperation between the two parties, Salsa Stores are expected to appear in numerous stores under the Bailian Group.
