Adidas, the global leader in sports innovation, has officially partnered with the Beijing Marathon as its official sponsor and the exclusive provider of running equipment. This five-year collaboration, beginning in 2010, aims to equip all participants, officials, staff, and volunteers with high-performance gear tailored for marathon events. The partnership highlights Adidas’ deep commitment to supporting long-distance running and fostering athletic excellence.
As one of the most recognized names in global athletics, Adidas has a strong history of involvement in major marathons around the world, including the London, Berlin, and Boston Marathons. The 2023 Beijing Marathon is scheduled for October 24, and Adidas is already ramping up its promotional efforts. A comprehensive marketing campaign under the theme “Beijing Runs Up†will run across outdoor billboards, print media, digital platforms, and over 1,000 Adidas stores nationwide. In addition, the brand will organize offline running events at major fitness centers and universities in Beijing, encouraging more people to get involved in the sport.
To further support the event, Adidas has introduced a range of advanced running shoes designed for different levels of runners. The Supernova Sequence 3, known for its 360-degree cooling system, is a favorite among elite athletes competing in half and full marathons. The ClimaCool Chill model is ideal for casual runners participating in shorter distances like 9km or mini-marathons, while the Bounce Titan and Venus models cater to fitness enthusiasts taking part in the 4.2km race.
These products are now available at the Adidas Running Experience Center located at the Sanlitun Brand Center, as well as at over 40 mini-running experience hubs across Beijing’s retail locations. Runners can not only explore the latest gear but also receive expert advice from professional coaches. Weekly registration sessions are held at the Sanlitun center, offering participants a platform to train, connect, and share their running experiences.
