Unearthed colorful relics unearthed from the ancient tomb in Fuyang, Hubei

A few days ago, archaeologists from the Cultural Relics and Archaeology Institute of Hubei Province discovered five colorful relics while cleaning up an ancient tomb. According to experts, the large-scale relics unearthed in ancient tombs in China are rare and of great research value. The unearthed cultural relics have been deposited in local museums.

Chen Yuan, director of the Fuyang Municipal Institute of Archaeology, said that when archaeologists cleaned up a tomb at the foot of the local Lushan Mountain, an octagonal Buddhist altar was found on the top of the tomb. There are five crystal granules of different sizes and shapes in the buddha. These crystal granules are shaped like mung beans. The largest one is about 30 mm in diameter. It glows under the light. You can see red, purple and blue when you look closely. Green, orange and other colors. After the identification of some domestic experts and sorghum, five particles were initially identified as precious multicolored relics.

According to Chen Wan, it is easy to find relics in Buddhist monasteries and other places, but it is extremely rare in the unearthed colorful relics in the tomb of the Ming Dynasty. Experts predict that there may be a Buddhist belief in the life of the ancient tomb, but details such as why the relics are embedded in the top of the tomb are still to be studied.
