Overview
A temporary wound protective covering material used in the skin treatment process, the scientific name should be "artificial burn covering material." For the sake of simplicity, it is often referred to as "artificial skin." There are three types of materials for artificial skin, namely polymers, proteins and polysaccharides. Artificial skin is mainly used for the treatment of burns, burns or wounds. In the course of treatment, artificial skin is required to have the following functions: first, to prevent evaporation and loss of water and body fluids from the wound surface; second, to prevent infection of the wound surface; and third, to enable gradual growth of granulation or new skin to promote healing.
